Encoding module to secure public transportation tickets
The public transport in a lot of countries is the primary mode of transportation and is vulnerable on attempts for frauds. Here comes the present system for ticketing. It includes a device for issuing tickets and a crypto module that encrypts and signs every ticket. A barcode is printed on every ticket. In case the ticket has to be verified, a barcode reader and specific software is used for decoding the scanned barcode. The result is a verification and unequally determination of the ticket – valid or forged.
